The BLS polymers share price today is 274.50 on the NSE. That is an 83% jump from yesterday's close of 150. The stock listed this morning at 248, a 65% premium over its IPO price, then climbed further.
By 11:35 AM IST, it had touched a high of 285. The 255 crore IPO was subscribed 241 times. Non-institutional investors bid 559 times their allotted quota. Those numbers explain the pop.
They do not answer the real question: should you buy now, at a price that already assumes everything goes right? The company makes polymer compounds for wires, cables, and pipelines.
Revenue grew 5.26% in FY26. Profit grew 27.79%. The business is solid. The valuation is stretched. Here is the honest breakdown.

BLS Polymers listed on the NSE at 248 and the BSE at 244.10 . Both figures represent a premium of over 62% over the 150 issue price. The stock then extended gains to 274.50 by late morning.

The IPO itself was a frenzy. The 255 crore fresh issue received bids worth 43,058 crore. The retail portion was subscribed 128 times. The QIB portion 200 times. The NII portion 559 times.
What this tells you: The listing gain was driven by demand, not by fundamentals. A 241x subscription means far more people wanted the stock than there were shares available.
That scarcity inflated the opening price. Now the stock trades on the open market, and the scarcity is gone.
BLS Polymers manufactures custom-formulated polymer compounds. These go into wires and cables, pipelines, and other industrial applications.
The revenue mix: Wire and cable compounds contributed 80.93% of FY26 revenue. Pipeline products made up the rest. The company also trades HDPE and LLDPE resins, which added 31.86% of revenue.
The concentration risk: The top customer contributed 31.74% of FY26 revenue. The top 10 customers contributed 66.81% . Losing one major client would hurt.
The capacity: The Goa facility has an installed capacity of 35,251 metric tonnes per annum. Capacity utilisation sat at 66% in FY26 . The IPO proceeds will fund expansion. That leaves room to grow without building from scratch.

The numbers look good at first glance. Revenue rose from 296 crore in FY24 to 349 crore in FY26. Profit after tax jumped from 7.52 crore to 27.01 crore over the same period.

The catch: Most of that profit growth came from margin expansion, not revenue growth. Revenue grew at an 8.6% CAGR. PAT grew more than threefold. That kind of margin improvement is hard to sustain. It depends on resin spreads and the mix of traded versus manufactured goods.
The cash flow warning: FY26 operating cash flow was 38.06 crore, which exceeded PAT. But Q1 FY27 operating cash flow turned negative at -6.64 crore as receivables increased. That is a red flag. Growth is tying up cash.
The debt picture: Borrowings fell from 93.77 crore in FY24 to 51.72 crore in FY26, then rose to 62.91 crore in June 2026 . The company is not debt-free. It is managing debt, but the trend reversed in the most recent quarter.
At 274.50, BLS Polymers trades at a price-to-earnings ratio of roughly 107. That is steep for a polymer compound manufacturer.
The FY26 EPS was 2.27 per share on a post-IPO equity base . At 274.50, you are paying about 120 times trailing earnings. Even accounting for the Q1 FY27 profit of 10.23 crore, the annualized earnings do not justify that multiple .
The comparison that matters: Specialty chemical companies with similar revenue profiles trade at much lower multiples. BLS Polymers has a niche. It does not have a moat wide enough to command a 100+ PE.
Do not buy if: You are looking for a value investment. The listing pop already priced in years of growth. At 274, you are paying for perfection. Any earnings miss will hit the stock hard.

Do not buy if: You missed the IPO and feel like you are missing out. The 65% listing gain belongs to IPO allottees. Chasing the stock now means buying at the top of a demand spike.
Consider buying if: You want exposure to India's infrastructure and power sector through a small-cap supplier. You accept that the valuation is high and the float is thin. You plan to hold for years, not weeks.
Wait if: You want a better entry point. Lock-in periods for anchor investors and pre-IPO shareholders will expire. More shares will hit the market. The price may cool.
Three things will determine whether BLS Polymers justifies its price.
The first quarterly earnings report as a listed company. Q2 FY27 numbers will show whether the margin expansion held. If margins shrink, the stock re-rates lower.
The expansion progress. The IPO proceeds are earmarked for capacity expansion at Goa. Delays or cost overruns would undermine the growth story.
The receivables trend. Q1 FY27 saw negative operating cash flow. If that continues, the company is growing revenue without collecting cash. That is a warning sign.
BLS Polymers is a real business with real customers and real profits. The IPO was a success. The listing pop was spectacular.
But the BLS polymers share price today reflects demand, not value. At 274.50, the stock trades at a multiple that leaves no room for error. The company grew revenue 5% last year. It grew profit 28%. The profit growth came from margins, not volume. Margins can reverse.
If you own the stock from the IPO, consider taking some profit. If you do not own it, wait. The lock-in expiry will bring more supply. The first post-listing earnings report will bring clarity. Neither is far away.
